Plague Doctors – thematic chess piece set with 32 pieces

This set uses "plague doctors" as a recurring chess motif. Six different figure shapes ensure that the roles remain playable while also acting as small sculptures.

SIZES

• Medium: figure height approx. 5–7 cm
• Large: figure height approx. 6–9 cm
• XLarge: figure height approx. 7.5–11 cm

The size selection applies to the complete set. The height of the individual pieces differs according to their role.

COLORS AND FINISHES

Printed color pairs: gold/silver, gold/black, gold/white, gold/bronze, silver/black, silver/white, silver/bronze, black/white, black/bronze, and white/bronze.

The printed versions are monochrome per side and not subsequently painted. Recesses have the same material color as the rest of the figure; no dark patina is applied.

Hand-painted color pairs: silver/gold and silver/bronze. The black primer remains visible in the recesses; the raised shapes are accented with metallic-effect acrylic paint. Paint application, shading, and gloss may vary.

Gold, silver, and bronze refer to color or finish, not material. The first color belongs to one side, the second to the opposing side. Screen display and material batches may influence the perception of color.

SCOPE OF DELIVERY

A complete set of 32 chess pieces in the selected size and color version. Chessboard and decoration are not included.

The figures are made of PLA using FDM 3D printing. Painted variants receive additional primer and acrylic paint. Fine layer lines and small surface differences are part of the process. Not suitable for children under 3 years due to small parts that could be swallowed.
