An octopus with long tentacles, a crowned sea snake, and an anglerfish transform this chess set into a small underwater world. The knight appears as a striking seahorse, while the rook is shaped by coral forms. For the pawn, a compact silhouette meets a widely detailed fish mouth. The six roles differ significantly in their form while sharing stepped, round bases. This creates a cohesive maritime set whose animal forms are a delight to examine closely, even between games.

The size specification indicates the height range within the full set: pawns and shorter pieces are at the lower end, while the king and other tall pieces are at the upper end. All 32 pieces are scaled together proportionally.

In the printed versions, each army is completely monochromatic. There is no dark patina or subsequently applied shading.

In the hand-painted versions, the pieces are first primed in black and then hand-painted with acrylic paint. The black base remains intentionally visible in the recesses and along fine contours; this highlights tentacles, scales, fins, and coral, giving them a three-dimensional appearance.

NOTES ON COLOR AND HAND-PAINTING

Each hand-painted set is painted individually. Paint application, shading, and gloss may vary. The extent to which the black primer remains visible in recesses and fine contours also differs from set to set. These differences are not flaws, but rather make each hand-painted set unique.

Monitors and displays may reproduce colors differently. Slight variations in hue and gloss are also possible between individual material batches. Gold, Silver, and Bronze refer exclusively to the color or surface finish; the pieces are not made of precious metal.

Due to small parts that could be swallowed, the set is not suitable for children under 3 years of age. Fine layer lines and small surface characteristics may occur as typical features of 3D printing.
