Byzantium – thematic chess set with 32 pieces

This set uses "Byzantium" as a recurring chess motif. Six different figure shapes ensure that the roles remain playable while also acting as small sculptures.

SIZES

• Medium: Figure height approx. 5–7 cm
• Large: Figure height approx. 6–9 cm
• XLarge: Figure height approx. 7.5–11 cm

The size selection applies to the complete set. The height of the individual pieces varies according to their role.

COLORS AND SURFACES

Printed color pairs: Gold / Silver, Gold / Black, Gold / White, Gold / Bronze, Silver / Black, Silver / White, Silver / Bronze, Black / White, Black / Bronze, and White / Bronze.

The printed versions are monochromatic per side and are not painted afterwards. Recesses have the same material color as the rest of the figure; no dark patina is applied.

Hand-painted color pairs: Silver / Gold and Silver / Bronze. The black primer remains visible in the recesses; the raised forms are emphasized with metallic-look acrylic paint. Paint application, shading, and gloss may vary.

Gold, silver, and bronze refer to color or finish, not the material. The first color belongs to one side, the second to the opposing side. Screen display and material batches can influence the color impression.

SCOPE OF DELIVERY

A complete set of 32 chess pieces in the selected size and color version. Chessboard and decoration are not included.

The cover image is a digital, thematic scene visualization and not a photo of a finished, produced set. Arrangement, scale, number of visible figures, and small details may differ from the scope of delivery. The subsequent size and model views show the intended six figure shapes digitally based on the 3D models. Print surface and individual painting may vary.

The figures are manufactured from PLA using FDM 3D printing. Painted variants receive additional primer and acrylic paint. Fine layer lines and small surface differences are part of the process. Not suitable for children under 3 years due to small parts that could be swallowed.
