Carparts Legion – Chess piece set with 32 pieces

Carparts Legion turns auto-part motifs into chess pieces. The crowned king is reminiscent of a V-engine, while the queen features two round turbocharger shapes. Double pipes distinguish the bishops; crossed connecting rod shapes take on the role of knights. Battery-shaped rooks with lightning symbols and small spark plug pawns complete the ensemble. Lines, screw heads, and round housings give each piece its own technical character.

COLORS AND FINISHES

Printed color pairs: Gold / Silver, Gold / Black, Gold / White, Gold / Bronze, Silver / Black, Silver / White, Silver / Bronze, Black / White, Black / Bronze, and White / Bronze.

The printed versions are monochromatic per side and are not subsequently painted. Depressions have the same material color as the rest of the piece; no dark patina is applied.

Hand-painted color pairs: Silver / Gold and Silver / Bronze. In these, the black primer remains visible in the depressions; the raised forms are highlighted with metallic-effect acrylic paint. Paint application, shading, and gloss may vary.

Gold, silver, and bronze refer to the color or finish, not the material. The first color belongs to one side, the second to the opposing side. Screen displays and material batches can influence the perception of color.

SCOPE OF DELIVERY

A complete set of 32 chess pieces in the chosen size and color finish. Chessboard, pedestal, and decoration are not included.

ABOUT THE IMAGES

The product images are digital visualizations based on the model files, not photos of finished items. They show the intended shapes and color finishes. The print surface and individual painting may differ from the appearance shown. The title image shows twelve role examples: one each of king, queen, bishop, knight, rook, and pawn in silver and gold. The white overview shows the six piece designs individually. The complete set of 32 pieces will be delivered.

The pieces are 3D-printed from PLA. Painted variants receive an additional primer and acrylic paint. Fine layer lines and small surface characteristics are typical of this manufacturing process. Not suitable for children under 3 years due to small parts that could be swallowed.

All engine, pipe, and spark plug shapes are solid, decorative model details made of PLA. These are not real or functional auto parts; the pieces do not contain any electronics.
