Metal Legion – Chess piece set with 32 pieces

Metal Legion depicts the six chess roles as armored robot busts. Distinct crowns identify the King and Queen, while the Bishop wears a tall, pointed helmet. Mechanical horse heads with articulated necks form the Knights; the Rooks combine visor helmets with wide crenelated tops. Small robots with a round forehead lens round out the ensemble as Pawns. Shoulder plates, joint shapes, and finely articulated bases define their technical character.

SIZES

The size selection applies to the complete set. The height of individual pieces varies depending on the role.

COLORS AND FINISHES

Printed color pairs: Gold / Silver, Gold / Black, Gold / White, Gold / Bronze, Silver / Black, Silver / White, Silver / Bronze, Black / White, Black / Bronze, and White / Bronze.

The printed versions are monochromatic per side and not subsequently painted. Recesses have the same material color as the rest of the piece; no dark patina is applied.

Hand-painted color pairs: Silver / Gold and Silver / Bronze. Here, the black primer remains visible in the recesses; the raised forms are highlighted with metallic-effect acrylic paint. Paint application, shading, and gloss may vary.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze refer to the color or finish, not the material. The first color belongs to one side, the second to the opposing side. Screen display and material batches may influence color perception.

SCOPE OF DELIVERY

A complete set of 32 chess pieces in the selected size and color finish. Chessboard, pedestal, and decoration are not included.

ABOUT THE IMAGES

The product images are digital visualizations based on the model files, not photos of finished items. They show the intended shapes and color finishes. Print surface and individual painting may deviate from the displayed appearance. The cover image shows twelve role examples: one each of King, Queen, Bishop, Knight, Rook, and Pawn in silver and gold. The white overview shows the six piece shapes individually. The complete set of 32 pieces is supplied.

The pieces are 3D-printed from PLA. Painted variants additionally receive primer and acrylic paint. Fine layer lines and small surface features are characteristic of this manufacturing process. Not suitable for children under 3 years due to small parts that could be swallowed.

Lenses, joints, and chest panels are modeled details made of PLA. The pieces are not articulated and do not contain LEDs, electronics, or lighting functions.
