Firewall Frontlines – Chess set with 32 pieces

Firewall Frontlines combines familiar chess forms with a restrained science-fiction aesthetic. Sleek, curved bodies and fine linear grooves lead to crowns, helmets, and battlements. The bishop wears a narrow helmet crest, while the knight features an angular horse head with a segmented mane. Rounded, ribbed feet and circular bases give the six roles a unified design language.

AT A GLANCE

• Complete set of pieces for two sides
• Per side: 1 king, 1 queen, 2 bishops, 2 knights, 2 rooks, and 8 pawns
• Ten printed and two hand-painted color pairs
• Six distinct piece shapes

SIZES

• Medium: piece height approx. 5–7 cm
• Large: piece height approx. 6–9 cm
• XLarge: piece height approx. 7.5–11 cm

The size selection applies to the complete set. The height of individual pieces varies according to their role.

COLORS AND FINISHES

Printed color pairs: Gold / Silver, Gold / Black, Gold / White, Gold / Bronze, Silver / Black, Silver / White, Silver / Bronze, Black / White, Black / Bronze, and White / Bronze.

The printed versions are monochrome per side and are not painted post-production. Grooves have the same material color as the rest of the piece; no dark patina is applied.

Hand-painted color pairs: Silver / Gold and Silver / Bronze. The black primer remains visible in the grooves; the raised forms are highlighted with metallic-effect acrylic paint. Paint application, shading, and gloss may vary.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze refer to the color or finish, not the material. The first color belongs to one side, the second to the opposing side. Screen display and material batches may influence color perception.

SCOPE OF DELIVERY

A complete set of 32 chess pieces in the selected size and color finish. Chessboard, pedestal, and decoration are not included.

ABOUT THE IMAGES

The product images are digital visualizations based on the model files, not photos of pre-manufactured items. They show the intended shapes and color finishes. Printing surface and individual painting may differ from the appearance shown. The cover image shows twelve role examples: one each of king, queen, bishop, knight, rook, and pawn in silver and gold. The white overview shows the six piece shapes individually. The complete set of 32 pieces will be delivered.

The pieces are 3D-printed from PLA. Painted variants receive additional primer and acrylic paint. Fine layer lines and small surface characteristics are part of this manufacturing process. Not suitable for children under 3 years due to small parts that may be swallowed.

The technical lines and helmet forms are purely design elements. The pieces are made of PLA and do not contain any LEDs, electronics, or lighting functions.
