Dominion of Bone & Steel – Chess set with 32 pieces

Dominion of Bone & Steel combines skeletal faces with heavy, mechanical-looking armor. The King and Queen wear pointed crowns atop their skulls; the Bishop appears with a mitre and ornate breastplate. An armored horse skull takes the role of the Knight. For the Rook, the skeletal face is set beneath a battlement crest, while for the Pawn, it is beneath a round helmet. Hoses, ball joints, and small skull reliefs connect the figures into an expressive dark fantasy set.

SIZES

The size selection applies to the complete set. The height of individual pieces varies according to their role.

COLORS AND FINISHES

Printed color pairs: Gold / Silver, Gold / Black, Gold / White, Gold / Bronze, Silver / Black, Silver / White, Silver / Bronze, Black / White, Black / Bronze and White / Bronze.

The printed versions are monochrome per side and not subsequently painted. Depressions have the same material color as the rest of the figure; no dark patina is applied.

Hand-painted color pairs: Silver / Gold and Silver / Bronze. In these, the black primer remains visible in the depressions; the raised forms are highlighted with metallic-effect acrylic paint. Paint application, shading, and gloss may vary.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze refer to the color or finish, not the material. The first color belongs to one side, the second to the opposing side. Screen display and material batches may influence color perception.

SCOPE OF DELIVERY

A complete set of 32 chess pieces in the selected size and color finish. Chessboard, pedestal, and decorations are not included.

ABOUT THE IMAGES

The product images are digital visualizations based on the model files, not photos of finished pieces. They show the intended shapes and color finishes. Print texture and individual painting may differ from the appearance shown. The title image shows twelve role examples: one King, Queen, Bishop, Knight, Rook, and Pawn each in Silver and Gold. The white overview shows the six figure shapes individually. The complete set of 32 figures is delivered.

The figures are 3D-printed from PLA. Painted variants receive an additional primer and acrylic paint. Fine layer lines and small surface characteristics are typical of this manufacturing process. Not suitable for children under 3 years due to small parts that could be swallowed.

Bone, steel, armor, and joints are stylistic motifs. The figures are made of PLA and contain neither real bone nor solid steel parts or lighting.
