Braided Realm – Chess set with 32 pieces

Braided Realm translates braided patterns into a clearly recognizable chess set. Wide braids run along the bodies of the pieces, while finer diamond structures enclose the round bases. The King and Queen wear richly decorated crowns, the Bishop a pointed mitre. The Knight picks up the braided motif in its mane and bridle. Battlements and a patterned ball head distinguish the Rook and Pawn. Recurring bands connect all roles and give the set a calm, ornamental character.

COLORS AND FINISHES

Printed color pairs: Gold / Silver, Gold / Black, Gold / White, Gold / Bronze, Silver / Black, Silver / White, Silver / Bronze, Black / White, Black / Bronze and White / Bronze.

The printed versions are monochromatic per side and are not subsequently painted. Depressions have the same material color as the rest of the piece; no dark patina is applied.

Hand-painted color pairs: Silver / Gold and Silver / Bronze. The black primer remains visible in the depressions; the raised shapes are emphasized with metallic-effect acrylic paint. Application of color, shading and gloss may vary.

Gold, Silver and Bronze denote the color or finish, not the material. The first color belongs to one side, the second to the opposing side. Screen display and material batches may influence the color impression.

SCOPE OF DELIVERY

Design: GraFabLab
Manufacturing: FehnFactory
Made in Germany

The pieces are 3D-printed from PLA. Painted variants additionally receive primer and acrylic paint. Fine layer lines and small surface characteristics are inherent to this manufacturing process. Not suitable for children under 3 years of age due to small parts that can be swallowed.

Braiding and bands are modeled surfaces of the PLA figures. No ropes, textiles or wooden parts are used.
