Grimm Hollow – Chess piece set with 32 figures

Grimm Hollow displays a royal court of skeletons. From beneath pointed crowns, the skulls of the King and Queen peer out; ribs, flowing robes, and diamond-shaped ornaments define their slender bodies. The Bishop wears a tall headdress, while the Knight appears as an armored horse skull. A gothic-ornamented Rook and a compact Pawn with a spherical head complete the ensemble. Skull reliefs on the round bases provide a common foundation for all pieces. The dark metal paint highlights these fine contours particularly well; single-color versions emphasize the sculptural forms.

COLORS AND FINISHES

Printed color pairs: Gold / Silver, Gold / Black, Gold / White, Gold / Bronze, Silver / Black, Silver / White, Silver / Bronze, Black / White, Black / Bronze, and White / Bronze.

The printed versions are monochromatic per side and are not subsequently painted. Recesses have the same material color as the rest of the figure; no dark patina is applied.

Hand-painted color pairs: Silver / Gold and Silver / Bronze. Here, the black primer remains visible in the recesses; the raised forms are highlighted with metallic-effect acrylic paint. Paint application, shading, and gloss may vary.

Gold, Silver, and Bronze refer to the color or finish, not the material. The first color belongs to one side, the second to the opposing side. Screen displays and material batches can influence the color appearance.
