This chess piece set pits two uniquely designed armies against each other: on one side, the Roman Legion with a general, empress, dignitary, horse, Colosseum tower, and legionary; on the other, the barbarian horde with a crowned tribal leader, antlered warrior, masked seer, wild boar, wooden watchtower, and helmeted fighter. The twelve distinct piece types make every role instantly recognizable and transform a chess game into a detailed historical fantasy scene. Even as a complete display piece, the ensemble remains powerful without sacrificing its clear playability.

The unedited original photos show real 3D prints of both armies. The color pair images show the six different roles for each side as a sample row. The shipment includes the complete 32-piece set in the selected size and color finish.

SIZES

• Medium: Figure height approx. 5–7 cm
• Large: Figure height approx. 6–9 cm
• XLarge: Figure height approx. 7.5–11 cm

The size refers to the height range within the complete set: pawns and shorter roles are at the lower end, while kings and other tall figures are at the upper end. Both armies are scaled together and proportionally.

COLOR PAIRS & FINISHES

The first color mentioned forms the Roman Legion, the second color the barbarian horde.

Printed: Gold/Silver, Gold/Black, Gold/White, Gold/Bronze, Silver/Black, Silver/White, Silver/Bronze, Black/White, Black/Bronze, or White/Bronze. Each army is printed entirely in one color and has no dark patina.

Hand-painted: Silver/Gold or Silver/Bronze. Metallic accents are applied over a black primer; the black base is intentionally left visible in recesses and fine contours.

The colors shown in the original photos serve to illustrate the design. The color pair selected in the drop-down menu is the only one binding for the order.

NOTES ON HANDCRAFT & 3D PRINTING

Each hand-painted set is finished individually. Paint application, shading, gloss, and visible primer may differ slightly from product images, making each set unique. Monitors may display colors differently. Gold, Silver, and Bronze refer exclusively to the color or surface finish; the figures are not made of precious metal.

Fine layer lines and small surface characteristics are typical features of 3D printing. Material: PLA. Due to small parts that could be swallowed, not suitable for children under 3 years of age.
